In our factory in Martorell (Barcelona) we have several machines especially designed to test our castors and wheels and ensure they meet the required quality standards before launching them to the market. Continuous quality improvement is built into our company’s DNA.
You will find below a video with the braking test for our industrial castors that our technical department runs on a regular basis. Our industrial engineer, Jordi Ventura, explains how the testing machine works: it is used to check that the castor’s braking capacity remains unchanged over time.
The main purpose of this test is to simulate the activation and the release of the brake pedal 5000 times, the closest way we would do in everyday use. We can say we pass the test when the braking system keeps working after 5000 uses.
